the Mustard Seed Garden series of bronze sculptures, reflecting the timeless essence of the I Ching. Our sculptures are a contemporary exploration and interpretation of the ancient Chinese philosophy of Taoism. For the first time in history, the unique integration of concept and imagery merges the eight abstract trigrams of the Taoist I Ching with the Taoist monks of The Mustard Seed Garden Manual of Painting. Each of the eight half life-sized sculptures can be displayed individually or in combinations to represent any of the readings of the I Ching. They provide a Zen presence within your personal indoor or outdoor environment.

The above photos of Mountain and Thunder symbolize "Stillness" and "Movement" in the Mustard Seed Garden. Each is a Limited Edition of 64 signed and numbered bronzes created by sculptor Shelley Curtiss. As the eight trigram characters of the Mustard Seed Garden series become available, photos and information will be added to our website. Please view future bronzes here! Personal viewing within the studio is also available via appointment.

The entire series will be completed by Spring 2009. Because the limited number of sculptures in this series is being presented world-wide, we recommend early reservations.
